With its new drilling station, MAFELL is literally revolutionizing solid wood processing and, compared with traditional drill stands, guarantees unsurpassed precision. The drilling station is also characterized by an extremely solid construction, made with a torsion-resistant aluminum profile column.

The guide offers several advantages: better visibility of the markings and the bit. Clear space for changing the bit and no angle during drilling.

MAFELL has developed the system down to the smallest detail, focusing especially on aspects that are important to professionals. The progressively adjustable drill bit guide, equipped with six bearings, allows holes to be drilled with previously unimaginable precision. And since the MAFELL drilling station is made exclusively from high-quality materials, the tool's service life is practically unlimited: but could it be otherwise for a MAFELL product?

Advantage

  • The drill bit guide consists of six vertical bearings that, using a special mechanism, tightly enclose the bit without play, holding it absolutely firmly.
  • The pulling force of the polyethylene cord can be adjusted individually, for example to reduce feed pressure during horizontal work. When the drill is switched off, the bit automatically returns to its starting position.
  • The S variants can be adjusted on both sides using a scale from +/- 45°, with a stop position at 0°. The drill bit at the level of the base plate represents the tilting axis.

For drilling series and hole patterns, a copying device can be used instead of the insert: the ideal system for working with drilling templates.

 

The marking guides make it easy to position the drill bit correctly. Even when working at an angle, the bit always remains aligned with the axis.
The parallel stop, which can be used, for example, to drill holes in solid wood, allows workpieces to be produced in series in combination with the side stop.

 

The desired drilling depth can be set quickly and accurately using a clearly legible adjustment scale.
