These Chisels with Reinforced Handles are made by Pfeil, a historic Swiss company that has been producing the highest-quality woodworking tools since 1902. They are forged from a special steel alloy developed specifically for Pfeil, guaranteeing high hardness, exceptional elasticity, and excellent edge retention.
Thanks to its long craft tradition, expertly combined with technological progress, Pfeil is recognized worldwide as the leading authority in the design and production of woodworking tools.

The blades of Pfeil Chisels with Reinforced Handles are made from a chrome-vanadium steel alloy (vanadium gives steel extreme hardness even at high temperatures), heat-treated in electric furnaces with a controlled atmosphere and tempered until they reach an exceptional hardness of 60 HRC (Hardness Rockwell Cone).
The special composition and careful hardening process of Pfeil steel give the blades of these wood chisels extraordinary edge retention, elasticity, and strength.
Each chisel blade is then sharpened by hand to a 25° cutting angle by a Pfeil specialist craftsman, making it ready for use, razor-sharp, and capable of retaining its edge over time.
The blades of Pfeil Chisels, measuring from 120 to 150 mm (depending on the blade width), are then securely mounted and fixed onto ergonomic beechwood handles treated exclusively with solvent-free vegetable oil. The distinctive feature of these chisels, compared with classic Pfeil Chisels, is that their handles are reinforced with a steel ring, giving the chisel greater resistance to mallet blows.

At the end of the production process, Pfeil Chisels reach an overall length ranging from 260 to 280 mm.
Pfeil Chisels are available in 11 models (from 4 to 40 mm) and in sets of 6 chisels (6 – 10 – 12 – 16 – 20 – 26 mm) contained in a fine wooden box, ideal for storing and providing optimal protection for the blades.
