The Tormek Blackstone Silicon wheel was developed for shaping and sharpening* high-speed steel and other less common alloy steels. It is also suitable for touching up tungsten carbide. The wheel does not offer greater abrasive capacity on ordinary carbon steel than the original Tormek wheel.
