Our Sloyd knife is razor-sharp and ready to use. Just like the tools traditionally designed in Sweden, this carving knife is a durable, well-built tool, ideal for spoon carving, whittling, marking and woodworking, and general crafting.
Its versatility allows you to use it for a wide range of woodcarving projects, from detailing to roughing. Use it to shave bark or use the fine point for eyes, noses, mouths, hair, facial details, and accent pieces on caricatures and animals.
The 2-7/8" blade is thick along the spine, and the core is made of high-carbon steel, ensuring a very hard edge for better edge retention. For added strength, the tang of each knife extends completely through the handle.
The blade has no flex - making it sturdy and extremely reliable. The blade's rigidity and size allow for deep cuts and markings.
The handle is made of beautifully conditioned cherry wood, and each one comes with a custom 100% leather sheath with an integrated belt clip. The sheath provides lasting blade protection and makes carrying easy.
